The Loroch TWIN 860 circular saw blade grinding machine by Vollmer introduces advanced software updates, enhancing versatility and precision. New software packages expand grinding capabilities for various industries, including food and textiles, unlocking broader business potential across metal, wood, and more.

The Loroch range of circular saw blade grinding machines from Vollmer has become a valuable addition to the company's portfolio. This range includes options from entry-level sharpening machines to advanced solutions for sharpening, chamfering, and creating chipbreakers in metal and TCT saw blades. Vollmer has enhanced its Twin 860 machine with software updates, further advancing its functionality.

Recognized as a versatile 2-in-1 solution for grinding both metal saw blades with CBN abrasives and TCT blades for the metal cutting and wood industries, the recent updates increase the flexibility of the Twin 860. The new software can be added to both new and existing machines, opening new opportunities for manufacturers using the Loroch Twin 860.

Users of the Twin 860 can now select from four different software packages. The Skip Tooth processing software for circular knives and saw blades allows for the production of saw blades with randomly arranged teeth and gaps, including those with pointed and curved teeth. This feature is beneficial for applications across wood, plastic, bone, and Corian, making it suitable for industries like food, medical, and FMCG.

Additionally, the Plunge Grinding program has been introduced to support the food industry supply chain by processing circular knives with customizable plunge profiles. This program enables precise reproduction of the grinding wheel shape, with options for evenly distributed or segmented teeth and even micro-tooth wave profiles. Users can now use V-pointed grinding wheels or wheels with EDM-generated profiles to optimize production times.

Another software update supports single or double-sided grinding for circular knives, accommodating a maximum bevel angle of 75 degrees at the front and 60 degrees at the back. This feature is beneficial for industries including paper, display manufacturing, textiles, furniture, fashion, and food, allowing customers to explore new markets with the latest software updates.
